The main ingredients in ZO RETINOL SKIN BRIGHTENER are high-potency retinol and ascorbic acid-2 glucoside, which help exfoliate dead skin cells, increasing cell turnover and breaking up existing skin pigmentation to help brighten skin tone. The Stachys officinalis herbal extract has soothing properties and may help block messengers that trigger melanogenesis, reducing melanin production to limit dark spots. Glutathione, soy isoflavones, and n-acetyl glucosamine can help prevent new age spots and uneven pigmentation from forming, while vitamins C and E can act as antioxidants, helping protect skin from free radicals which can cause damage. To use ZO RETINOL SKIN BRIGHTENER, your patients should first cleanse their skin, and then apply 1–2 pumps of brightener to their fingertips. They should then gently massage the lotion into their skin, covering their entire face but avoiding their eyes.

Your patients should start by using ZO RETINOL SKIN BRIGHTENER twice a week, then gradually increase to once every day, if their skin can tolerate it. Around 3–7 days after first using this skin brightener, your patients will experience dryness, peeling, and irritation as the ingredients help exfoliate dead cells from the skin’s surface. If the irritation and burning sensation persist, your patients should stop using ZO Brightenex until these symptoms subside, then gradually begin using the skin brightener again to build their tolerance. If your patients need a less-aggressive skin brightener, they can mix equal parts ZO RETINOL SKIN BRIGHTENER and ZO Restoracalm, and use this mixture once a week.

This product can be used on the face and other areas to be treated for hyperpigmentation.

If used as recommended, this product helps to correct areas of discoloration and even out skin tone. After completion of the course of treatment, results are enduring provided the patient prevents formation of hyperpigmentation by taking the necessary protective steps.

Your patients should not use ZO RETINOL SKIN BRIGHTENER if they are allergic or sensitive to any of its ingredients. Your patients should not use ZO RETINOL BRIGHTENER if they are pregnant or breastfeeding. This skin brightening lotion is for external use only. If your patients get this skin health lotion in their eyes, they should rinse thoroughly with cool water. Since ZO RETINOL SKIN BRIGHTENER can increase sun sensitivity, your patients should use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit their sun exposure while using this skin brightener and for 1 week afterwards.
